Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) is closing a wolf hunting region in northern Montana.
Management area 101 is located in the northwestern part of the state near Flathead Lake.
The FWP Commission set the quota in the area at 19 and according to the FWP website, hunters have harvested 19 wolves in the area.
This is the third management unit in which quotas have been filled.
In total the state is hoping to harvest 220 wolves this season. As of Wednesday, 120 have been killed.
The Commission has extended the hunting season through February 15th or until the quota of 220 is filled.
