Shannon first started working with Montana's News Station as a news intern during the summer of 2005. Two years later Shannon returned, this time with the wonderful opportunity of anchoring the weekend weather during the summer of 2007.
As of October 2008, Shannon is happy to be back once again with Montana's News Station.
Originally from Kansas City, Shannon moved to the Hi-Line, becoming a Havre Blue Pony. While living in Havre, Shannon ran cross country, participated in Key Club, student congress, choir and golf along with being a Havre High cheerleader.
Shannon continued her cross country career as a proud Pirate of Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. She loved every minute of college, graduating with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. While in Spokane, Shannon got a little taste of "bright and early," interning with KHQ's morning newscast.
With her roots in the Sunflower State, Shannon is an avid Kansas Jayhawks basketball fan. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
Now at home in Great Falls, Shannon works with her church youth group and is a volunteer assistant coach for the University of Great Falls cross-country teams. She also loves to travel, run, ski, ride horses and all kinds of outdoor activities.
Shannon enjoys working with middle school and high school students as a youth group leader for First Alliance Church. She also loves to travel, run, ski, ride horses and all kinds of outdoor adventures.
Shannon's favorite part of her job is the chance to hear someone's story and tell it to the community. She has a special interest in medical, health and fitness related stories.
Feel free to send Shannon an e-mail with any story ideas or just to say hi!
