The pedestrian who was stuck by a vehicle on Sunday evening in Great Falls has been released from the hospital - and has also been cited for the incident.
The man has been identified as 46 year old Dana James Stanley, an unemployed transient.
Great Falls police tell us that Stanley was "extremely intoxicated" at the time of the incident.
Witnesses reported that Stanley didn't look where he was going, and the driver, who had the right of way, couldn't avoid hitting him.
GFPD says that Stanley has been cited with jaywalking; the driver of the vehicle was not cited.
(February 19, 2012) A reported vehicle versus pedestrian accident has sent one man to Benefis hospital in Great Falls.
The accident happened just before 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of 10th Avenue South and 13th Street.
The man was taken to Benefis via ambulance.
As of 9:00 p.m, officers were still at the hospital with the victim.
The man's name has not been released.
Details are still unclear as to how the accident happened.
