Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) reports that the statewide quota for wolf hunting season is now 60% filled.
In total, 135 wolves have been killed since the backcountry archery season opened on September 3, 2011.
The FWP Commission set the quota at 220 wolves for the 2011-2012 hunting season.
Hunters have until February 15th to fill their tag.
FWP also reports the Commission will consider extending the wolf hunt in the Bitterroot at its meeting on January 19th.
