Shane Maggi and Justin Stevens, who were the subject of a BOLO Alert from US Marshals in Montana several days ago, have been captured in California.

The US Marshals Service's Montana Violent Offender Task Force issued the "Be On the Look-Out" alerts for the two on October 17th.

The Record Searchlight in Redding, CA, reports that the two were arrested near the town of Weed on Wednesday after their car broke down and a patrol officer stopped to assist them.

The officer spotted a 9mm semi-automatic pistol in the car, among other "indicators of possible criminal activity," according to a CHP news release.

Authorities quickly discovered that the men were both wanted in Montana and taken into custody.

(October 17, 2011) The U.S. Marshals Service's Montana Violent Offender Task Force issued two BOLO Alerts on Monday.

The "Be On the Look-Out" alerts have been issued for Shane M. Maggi and Justin M. Stevens.

Authorities have reason to believe that Maggi and Stevens are traveling together, and stress that they are armed and dangerous.

Both Maggi and Stevens are wanted based on felony warrants charging each with aggravated assault with a weapon.

Maggi has several convictions in Glacier County and Missoula County on charges of aggravated assault with a weapon and failure to register as sexual or violent offender.

Stevens was convicted in Gallatin County on a felony theft charge in 2009.

Authorities have not yet released the last known location of Maggi and Stevens.

If you have information about Maggi or Stevens, call 911, the U.S. Marshals Service at (406) 247.7030, or your local law enforcement agency.
