Tractors, trucks, trailers and much more on display over the next few days at Montana ExpoPark as part of the annual MAGIE.
The MAGIE is the Montana Agriculture & Industrial Expo; it began on Thursday and will continue through Saturday afternoon.
Organizers say the event got off to a bit of a slow start due to the wintry weather, but business started to pick up later in the day.
The KMON-sponsored event features more than 200 vendors from around the region, and some of the big highlights continue to be the technological advancements that are on display.
Jim Sargent, the KMON ag director, noted, "I'm not so sure that in the future we won't see tractors without seats in them. That was one of the conversations at National Farm Broadcasters in Kansas City. It's getting to that point, everything is so automated that the high tech is where it's at, like I say it's bigger, better, and faster."
The MAGIE is not just about looking at new, expensive equipment; attendees also have the opportunity to listen to discussions on key issues, such as a presentation about the federal farm bill on Saturday.
