Kay joined Montana's News Station as a State Capitol correspondent in September of 2007, covering Helena news for KXLH, and the Montana Legislature for Montana's News Station. In September 2009 she made the move to Great Falls as a general assignment reporter for KRTV.
Kay is also the weekend anchor for KRTV and KXLH.
Kay has lived in New York, North Dakota, the Los Angeles area, and in Northern California, and is now happy to be living under the Big Sky.
Kay completed her bachelor of arts degree in Communications at Bethany University in Santa Cruz, CA. While in college, Kay worked as an intern at NBC11 in the Bay Area and was the co-anchor of her university's news program.
She also served as the entertainment editor for the university paper for three years. Under this position, Kay was fortunate enough to interview her favorite celebrities including Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Harrison Ford.
Kay enjoys hiking, camping and lake swimming. When she's not enjoying the Great Outdoors, Kay loves watching and critiquing movies. Her favorite film of 2007 was "Pan's Labyrinth" by Guillermo Del Toro.
Kay says when she moved to Montana her biggest fear was driving in the snow. Now that she has some Montana driving experience under her belt, she feels relieved and prepared for anything the elements can deliver.
