H1N1 clinics scheduled in Lake County

The Lake County Health Department is planning to H1N1 walk-in clinics each Tuesday as supplies allow.

The free clinics will be held from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. each Tuesday at the Lake County Public Health Department in Polson and at Tribal Health facilities in Arlee, Elmo, Ronan and St. Ignatius.

Health officials say that the clinics are open to all Lake County and Flathead Indian Reservation residents, both Tribal and non-Tribal.

Those eligible to receive H1N1 vaccine at any of the walk-in clinics are:

  • Pregnant women
  • Persons who live with or provide care for infants under 6 months of age (including parents, siblings and daycare providers)
  • Healthcare and emergency medical services personnel
  • Persons aged 6 months – 24 years
  • Persons aged 25-64 years who have medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications
