MISSOULA - The University of Montana Grizzlies just lost another quarterback. UM interim athletic director Jean Gee said Friday that Gerald Kemp is no longer on the team because of a "violation of team rules."
Gee said Kemp will stay at Montana to finish his degree, but she would not explain exactly what rule he broke.
The San Diego native had one year of eligibility remaining. The versatile player suited up at several offensive and special teams positions for the Griz.
Nate Montana, the son of Hall of Fame quarterback Joe, left the team a few months ago, leaving starting quarterback Jordan Johnson as the only player listed on the UM roster who has completed a pass in a game.
