A tradition of honoring fallen Montana peace officers continued on Tuesday, as law enforcement officers from across Montana gathered in Helena.

Schweitzer signs oil and gas tax agreement with Blackfeet Tribe

Governor Brian Schweitzer (D-MT) has signed an oil and gas tax agreement with the Blackfeet Tribe.

The document lays out how oil and gas companies which are drilling on tribal lands will be taxed.

Schweitzer says the agreement prevents companies from being taxed twice.

Patient weighs in on administrative changes to Medicaid Waiver Program

In January, Benefis Spectrum Medical took over all of the Medicaid waiver contracts that were previously held by Easter Seals Goodwill and Cascade County Aging Services.

Emergency crews are on the scene of an injury crash in Lewis & Clark County west of Great Falls. 

Initial reports indicate that a pickup truck rolled near the intersection of Highway 200 and Highway 434, about halfway between Simms and Lincoln, and NNW of Wolf Creek.

A District Court Judge in Helena says the state should pay for birth control for minors enrolled in the state's low-income health plan.

Judge Jim Reynolds says Montana's law prohibiting the state from paying for contraceptives under the Healthy Montana Kids plan is unconstitutional.
